"There she is!" I heard.

And then all of the sudden, the cutest little squealing guy dressed in a vest came running up to me with arms wide open. He ran across the grass with his arms up and a big smile on his face, and and then gave me the biggest jump hug! It was THE BEST, and I wish I had recorded that whole welcome because it's definitely the kind of thing you re-watch when you need a pick-me-up! Ahh, Atticus, I hope you keep that spirit and joy with you forever. (can you pick out the little man below? :) )

I admire this family so much. We met about 15 years ago when Kathyrn and I were in National Charity League together, and we've stayed close every since. Their family is full of love, kindness, style, servant hearts, travel bugs, Italy lovers, art history buffs, and lots and lots and lots of laughs. They live in four different states, but they travel often to see each other and never let distance keep them apart. (We also did family photos together 2 years ago - see their first session here)

Love you all so much and so happy we were able to get together over the holidays for your family photo session at Bridges Auditorium!

Chea Family | Orange County Fall Mini Session

,

From our first hello, I could tell this family was filled with so much love. Jenny, you had such a warmth about you and it was so very clear at your fall session that your kids and husband love you very much!

Mini sessions are often perfect for younger kiddos, because they're long enough to get the shots we need, but not too long where we end in total meltdown. The little one from this session did great, and definitely wanted just cuddle time with mommy towards the end. In any case, we were able to get beautiful pictures in a short amount of time... perfect. So not to fear mommas, I can make some magic even if your littles last just a few minutes!

And their outfits... so great! I love when families choose one main color and then have everyone wear various shades of that color along with some neutrals. I love the different shades of blue paired with greys and tans. And the little guy's shoes... they're baby Toms! Ahh! Who doesn't love Toms?

These will take place AFTER Valentine's Day so you can surprise your sweetie with this session as a Valentine's Day gift, and then have the fun experience together with just the two of you (well, and me behind the camera :) ). I recommend you make a fun date day/night of it - get ready together, play some fun music on the drive over, then grab coffee or dinner after - you'll be all done up, after all!

After you purchase your mini session & select your time, I'll email you a fun little printable with info about the session that you can include in a cute little Valentine's Day card <3

Sweetheart Mini Sessions are $250 and include:

  • 20 minute session
  • 15 high-resolution images in online gallery
  • 20% off printed products (canvases, wood prints, albums, etc.)

The Schmitz Family | Orange County Lifestyle Newborn Photography

This little family holds a special place in my heart. We met sipping mai tais on the beach in Kauai - Kevin and I on our honeymoon, Kate and Bryan celebrating their anniversary. We soon realized that not only are we from the same state, but we live about 20 minutes from each other, go to the same church aaaand Kate is a photographer! So naturally we became great friends :)

When I showed up for their photoshoot, their little girl Stella walked me up their stairs and let me brush her hair while she told me all about her cute dress. Kate had lovely neutrals picked out for all of them, and their bedroom was just the perfect location - simple decorations, white bedding (can you tell she's an an amazing photographer with amazing taste?) :).

Kate, thank you so much for asking me to capture such a sweet time for your family. You are such a great mom and it's so clear that your family just adores you!
